Gary Reeser, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020.
Gary was a mechanic for 48 years. He had 2 bosses in a life time of working on cars. This was his passion before he lost feeling in his hands. He took medical retirement in 2015. In his younger years, he loved to race cars in the demolition derby at the motor speedway. He also loved his haunted house role as the Dirty Old Man also known as the Old Creeper, he won countless awards for this character role. He was the manager for the last year he worked at the haunted house. He retired from the hunted house in 2018.
He enjoyed kids by being Santa for 14 years, at flea markets, church events, school events, in home visits and daycares. He also made visits at Home of the Innocence. Gary loved his dogs, he had one that recently passed away and he carries her picture with him. He did have two other dogs that he loved, Cocoa and Lucky that are missing him every day. He liked going to Rough River in his camper and enjoyed camp fires.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Leroy E. Reeser, Sr., and Mary Rose Reeser and his brother, Dennis Reeser.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 45 wonderful and exciting years, Nancy Jane Reeser, daughter, Christie (Jimmy) Bryant , adoptive grandchild, Marissa DeFevere, grandchild, Sabrina Bryant and grandchild Cassie Wengler. his siblings, Earlene Morse, Roselee Dolle, Leroy (Joyce) Reeser, Jr., Susan Reeser, Denise (Jimmy) Johnson, Janice (Joe) Triplett, and David Reeser.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020 and 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
