Gary Gene O'Connor

Gary Gene "Pap" O'Connor, 73, of Laconia, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Gary was a member of First Baptist Church in Elizabeth, Indiana, as well as a member of Team Alpha.

He was born on September 27, 1946, in Mankato, Minnesota, to the late Joe and Marlys Treanor O'Connor. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon O'Connor; brothers, Wally O'Connor and Duane (Gertrude) O'Connor; and grandchild, Regan.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Alan) Armstrong; daughter, Lynda (Curtis) Wininger; son, Mark (Karen) O'Connor; son, David (Renea) O'Connor; brother, Andre (Patricia) O'Connor; brother, Glen (Sandy) O'Connor; sister, Sandi Myers; grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Allyson, Lauren, Tasha, Paige, Jeremiah, Zachariah, Mark, Maddison, Dawson, Brady, Libby, and Chris; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
