Gary Wayne Nierengarten, 64, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Gary worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter. His greatest joy was being with his family who he dearly loved.
He was born on May 27, 1957, to the late Carl and Emma (King) Nierengarten. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Keith Muth; brothers, Steven, David and Rick Nierengarten; and grandson, Cody Proffitt.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Nierengarten; daughter, Stacie Muth; brother, Mark Nierengarten; sister, Carla (Kevin) Peak; granddaughter, Destiny Johnson; great-grandchildren, Larry Denton, III, Dalton Denton, Aiden Gibson and Zakaree Johnson.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
