Gary N. Van de Streek, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 21, 2016. He retired as the Technical Director of Analytical and Coil Coated Products from AkzoNobel. He was a great father and grandfather. Education was an important element in his life. He encouraged others to further their education. Gary spent time voluntarily tutoring and financially supporting education.
Gary was born on August 4, 1938, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to the late Bert and Alice (Benson) Van de Streek.
Gary is survived by his children, Grant (Luerean) Van de Streek and Cheryl (William) Wright; former wife, Kathleen Van de Streek; grandchildren, Derek, Lanta Willow, and Andaman "Andy;" brother, Nevin (Lorna) Van de Streek; and a host of friends.
A gathering will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home Louisville East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
