Gary Arnold Mennemeyer

Gary Arnold Mennemeyer, 58, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was the past Deputy and Grand Knight at the Knights of Columbus Cardinal Ritter Council #1221. Gary had worked in the maintenance department at United Catalyst in Louisville. He enjoyed carpentry and also fishing.

He was born on August 20, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Junior and Marilyn (Goewert) Mennemeyer. Gary is survived by his children, Keri Crutcher (Shane) and Matthew Mennemeyer; siblings, Beverly Parsons (Mark), Lisa Brown (Doug), Sandy Winstead (Bob), and Steve Mennemeyer (Maria Granger); grandchildren, Cooper and Kieran Crutcher and AnnaLynn Mennemeyer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen following Gary's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 East 8th Street, New Albany). Gary will be laid to rest privately at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
