Gary Lee Henry, Sr.
October 25, 1944 — December 29, 2017
Gary Lee Henry, Sr., 73, of Louisville, KY passed away on December 29, 2017. He was in the Air Force and retired after 25 years as an Air Traffic Controller. Gary also worked at Bowman Field and Louisville International Airport as a weather observationist. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He will be truly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois (Jesse) Estes; brother, Mike Estes; and sister, Gloria Ballard.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nelda Henry; daughter, Lisa (James) Arrigo; son, Gary Lee Henry, Jr.; grandchildren, Krystle Leigh (Zach) Henry, Christopher Lee Henry and Lania Henry; great-grandchildren, Carson, Taylor, Mason, Camden and Chloe; brother (uncle), Don (Sharon) Meredith and his fur baby, Sassy.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 2pm-5pm with a celebration of Gary's life beginning at 5pm at the chapel of Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
