Gary Ernspiker

Gary Ernspiker, a beloved member of the Louisville community, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2026. Born on March 27, 1953, in Louisville, Gary dedicated much of his life to working at Ernspiker's BP station, where he became a familiar face to many and a trusted friend to all who visited.

Gary was known for his outgoing and friendly demeanor; he never met a stranger. His warmth and approachable nature endeared him to those around him, making him a vibrant presence in any gathering. Beyond his professional life, Gary was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and the University of Kentucky sports teams.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Colleen Ernspiker, and their daughter, Danielle (David) Ernspiker. Gary is also survived by his cherished sisters, Carol (Larry) Rodgers and Karen (Blake) Brittain, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Jean Ann Ernspiker, who were an integral part of his life and upbringing. They instilled in him values of kindness and community that he embodied throughout his years.

Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held on February 4, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. The visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by the celebration from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

In remembrance of Gary Ernspiker's life, family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable man he was, the love he shared, and the memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
