Gary Michael Brewer

Gary Michael Brewer, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on July 9, 1952, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Gary was a man whose life revolved around his love for working on cars, his willingness to lend a hand to others, and his pride for his service in the United States Army.

He is survived by his sons, Michael McDonald Sr. and Patrick McDonald; step-daughter, Carla Hartman; his siblings, Tommy Brewer, Jimmy (Charlene) Brewer, Danny Brewer, Jerry Brewer, Vanda Lawson, Patsy (Donald) Stephens, and Martha Kessinger; and his beloved grandson, Michael McDonald Jr.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Brewer and Stella Priddy Brewer; his wife, Marilyn "Janet" Brewer; three brothers; and three sisters.

A Private Family Gathering will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Cremation was chosen following Gary's wishes.
