Garry Ray Thompson

Garry Ray "Bub" Thompson, 78, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020. Bub enjoyed horses, camping, golfing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

He was born on November 7, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Jerry (Wessel) Thompson. Along with his parents, Bub is preceded in death by his first wife, Edith "Edie" (Miller) Thompson.

Bub is survived by his loving wife, Carla Thompson; children, Michael Thompson, Lee McCullum, Heather (William) Ehalt, Kristina Burton, and Gerrad (Nikki) Whitson; grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, Kassidy, Jace, Tyler, Cameron, Colton, and Jacob; great-grandchild, Addison; siblings, Ronald "Ron" (Drue) Thompson, Terry "Scrap" (Jonelle) Thompson, Patrick (Rhonda) Thompson, Joyce (Dan) Muscatello, Marilyn (Louie) Griffin, Therese (David) Winstead, and Kathy (Steve Razor) Sperzel; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

For the safety of our community, masks will be required to attend. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane) and continue on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. His Funeral Mass will be kept private with burial to follow at St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Bub's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
