Garry Layne Mayes, 57, of Louisville, passed away on April 24, 2017. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Norma Mayes; brother, Larry Mayes; sister, Diane Mayes Bruce and niece, Jaime Staples.
Garry is survived by his siblings, Denise (Gerry) Crawford, Jimmy (Brenda) Mayes and Debbie Mayes; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Mitzi Spears.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Garry's life will be Friday, April 28, 2017, at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home beginning at 10am.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY.
