A dedicated and hardworking woman, Gail built her career with Fifth Third Bank (5/3 Bank), where she retired after many committed years of service. Never one to remain idle, she later worked with Jenny Craig, where she enjoyed connecting with others and encouraging healthy living.
Gail’s life has always been enriched by music and fellowship. She bowled for many years, enjoying the camaraderie and competition the sport offered. She was also a proud member of the Sweet Adelines, a women’s barbershop chorus group where she shared her love of singing. Her musical talents continued to flourish in her faith community as a long-time member of Jeffersontown United Methodist Church, where she joyfully sang in the church choir.
In recent months, Gail has made her home at Magnolia Springs East Assisted Living Community, where she was surrounded by support, care, and the warmth of community life.
Gail’s life reflects kindness, resilience, service, and a deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the voices she harmonized with, the friends she cherished, and the family that continues to be inspired by her strength and grace.
Gail is the loving mother of her two children, Paula Southgate (Ken) and Tom Taylor (Toni); and grandmother to Daniel, Michael (Katie), David and Katie. She is also blessed with great-grandchildren, Shiloh and Macie; her brother, Donald Stephens, with whom she shares lifelong family ties and memories; and a host of family and friends.
