Gail Susan "Mamaw" (Matlock) Heaverin, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She enjoyed riding horses and traveling all over the country with her husband, Tim. Gail was so proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

She was born on August 30, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky. Gail is preceded in death by her father, Donald Robertson; son-in-law, Michael Yochum; and brother, Ronald Matlock.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Tim Heaverin; daughters, Bridgett Yochum and Angela Jacobi (Jeffery); mother, Sylvia Robertson; brother, Mark Cox; sister-in-law, Phyllis Matlock; grandchildren, Ryan, Jarrett, Dylan, and Ashley; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
