Frieda Ann Mazzuchelli, a cherished resident of Louisville, KY, was born on February 8, 1935, in Louisville and passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew her.
Frieda's warmth and kindness were hallmarks of her personality. She adored her family, a love reflected in the many hours she spent playing cards and her fondness for bingo, activities which brought her great delight and camaraderie. Her love extended beyond people to animals as well; she held a special place in her heart for dogs and her beloved bird, companions that brought her comfort and happiness throughout her years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pear Beyer, her husband Ronald Mazzuchelli, and her daughter Margaret Crapser. These losses were deeply felt by Frieda and those who knew her story.
Frieda leaves behind a large and loving family, including her daughter Martha Rowley; her sons Steven (Nancy) Hornung, Mark (Lisa) Hornung, and Billy (Bonnie) Hornung; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. Her grandchildren Angie Sheppard, Charles (Mary) Rowley, Tonya (Ray) Williams, Pamela (Roger) Browning, Lisa (Link) Behymer, Steven (Kim) Hornung, Kristy (Brian) Spencer, Jason (Lora) Hornung, Tony Ludwick, Tina Slade, Leslie Ludwick, Taylor Hornung, Kendall Hornung, Olivia (Nolan) Mahooty, and Amy (William) Holt, along with a host of great and great-great-grandchildren, carry forward her legacy of love and family unity.
Services to honor Frieda Ann Mazzuchelli’s memory will be held with visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home in East Louisville, Kentucky, located at 235 Juneau Drive. The first visitation will be on April 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by another visitation on April 15, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will take place on April 15, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Later that day, a graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY, starting at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to pay their final respects.
Frieda’s life was one of grace and joy, characterized by her nurturing spirit and commitment to family. She will be warmly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace.
