Frederick Scott Ward, age 38 of Jeffersonville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at his home. He was a graduate of DeSales High School. He was a Marine Corp Veteran, and served in Operation Restore Democracy in Haiti. He was preceded in death by his mother, Becky Ward; brother, Jimmy Ward; grandfather, Frederick Hoffmann; and father, Orville Dillinger.

Scott is survived by his beloved son and best buddy, Jamison Scott Ward; Jamison's mother, Charity Smith; step-father, James Ward; step-brother, Sean Ward (Yolanda); grandmothers, Betty Hoffmann and Anne Rice; aunts, Mary Kay Parsley (Billy), Laura Crawford (Carl), Kathy Russell (Jimmy), and Sharon Weinert (Marty); god-daughter, Lindsay Hamilton; and his "Great" uncle Stephen Hoffmann (Susan); and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral ceremony will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there 2-7 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday. Burial with military honors will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.

A trust has been established for Scott's five year old son Jamison Ward at any Chase Bank.
