Frederick Deberry

March 28, 1940 — March 8, 2017

Frederick DeBerry, 76, passed away on March 8, 2017, at the Veteran's Hospital. He was a retired Army veteran and graduated from Fern Creek High School where he enjoyed playing basketball. As a young man he attended Friendship Baptist Church. Frederick had a joke or funny story for everyone he met and could always make you laugh.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Yvette Seargeant; parents, Caswell DeBerry and Alflorence DeBerry Saulsberry.

Frederick is survived by his grandchildren, Kedra, Kendra Seargeant and Kaylan Anderson; nephews, James T. Woodard, Caswell, Harold, Dwayne and Frederick DeBerry; nieces, Evette DeBerry Gray, Linda Snoddy-Kelly, Vicky Snoddy, Diane Snoddy, Antoinette Snoddy - Brown and Julia DeBerry-Robinson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Frederick's life beginning at 12pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway).

A graveside service will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central (2501 Dixie Hwy, Fort Knox, KY) at 2pm.
