Frederick Ethan Chodyniecki

Frederick Ethan Chodyniecki passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on July 14, 1978, he will be remembered with love for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the steady way he cared for those around him.

Ethan was a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, where he enjoyed playing the tuba in the band. During his senior year, the band won the state championship, a memory that remained a meaningful part of his life. He also pursued schooling in aviation, reflecting a lasting interest in flight and the world of aircraft.

He enjoyed collecting knives and anything connected to aviation, interests that reflected both his curiosity and his appreciation for craftsmanship and detail. Those who knew Ethan will remember that he was kindhearted and always willing to help others in need. He loved to joke around and make people laugh, and his presence brought warmth and lightness to everyday moments.

Above all else, Ethan’s proudest accomplishment was his family and his grandson, Apollo. The love he held for them was at the center of his life, and that devotion will remain one of the clearest and most lasting parts of his memory.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Ailayah Chodyniecki.

Ethan is survived by his son, Trevor Chodyniecki; grandson, Apollo Chodyniecki; parents, Fred and Cathy Chodyniecki; sister, Christa (Rob) Turner; brother Russell (Stephanie) Chodyniecki and his nieces, Natalie and Alexus. 

Frederick Ethan Chodyniecki will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. His life was marked by kindness, laughter, and love, and those gifts will continue to live on in the hearts of the people whose lives he touched.
