Fred J. Mozdzen

Frederick "Peanuts" J. Mozdzen, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Fred was a Player Agent and Vice President of Valley Sports Little League during the early 70's. He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the Shively Masonic Lodge #951, Beechland Baptist Church. Fred retired after 23 years as Captain of the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department, and 40 years as a Tool Inspector. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and served in the United States Air Force.

He was born on February 25, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Frank and Regina (Karpuszka) Mozdzen. He is preceded in death by his Son, Donnie Mozdzen, Parents, Sister, Gerry Timpson, Brothers, Dennis Mozdzen, and Robert Mozdzen.

Fred is survived by his loving Wife of 60 years, Carol Mozdzen, Daughter, Barbara (Richard) Rush, Adopted Daughter, Kayla Pierce, Grandchildren, Bobby (Emily), Tina (Steve), Erica, Morgan (Brian), Great Grandchildren, Mason, Aiden, Maggie, Charlie, Griffin, and Rylee. Fred also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
