Franklin Lee Lindsey, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Franklin is a Veteran of the US Army and retired from the US Postal Service after 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and wildlife conservationist. He was a lifetime member of B.A.S.S. He will truly be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on April 13, 1943 in Greensboro, Georgia to Walter and Margaret (Robertson) Lindsey. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Lindsey, Jr., mother, Margaret Lindsey; siblings, Betty Lindsey-Ray, James Lindsey, and Roy Lindsey.
Franklin is survived by his loving Wife of 55 years, Shirley J Lindsey; children, Douglas M (Amanda) Lindsey, David A Lindsey,and Daryl L Lindsey; grandchildren, Zack (Ann) Lindsey, Mikayla Lindsey, Dylan Lindsey, and Savannah Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Lorena Lindsey and Lillian Lindsey; bonus grandchildren, Allie, Christian, Preston, Reed, and Brody; bonus great-grandchildren, Trey, Jackson, Griffin, and Lucas; siblings, Doris Lindsey, Hoyt Lindsey, Susan West, and Carlene Noggle; Pallbearers, Kelvin Kitchen, Dan Noggle, Andy Barber, and Jason Barber. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
