Frank Gardner known has "Billy" strived to live a life full of love and happiness.

Sunrise, October 29, 1957, in Louisville, KY; Sunset, July 22, 2018, after fighting the good fight.

Billy, the fifth of seven children was born through the union of the late David Gardner, Sr. and Dorothy M. Gardner, Sr.

He began his spiritual journey at a very young age, joining Antioch Baptist Church and received his education at DuPont Manual High School. After high school, Billy joined the United State Army and went to electrical school. Billy spread his wings and moved to Warsaw, Kentucky to follow in his brother's footsteps where they both learned to pick tobacco. Billy was yearning for his family, so he returned to Louisville.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, David Gardner, Sr. and Dorothy M. Gardner, Sr.; sisters, Delores and Rose and his brother, Johnny Gardner.

He leaves to cherish his memory to his two daughters, Haqikah (David) Muncie and Michelle Mayes; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Willie Gardner and David Gardner; sisters, Dorothy M. Gardner, Jr., Ernestine Fortney and Essie Fortney; uncle, James Fortney and a cousin he taught how to drive (Peter) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Elim Baptist Church, 3114 Greenwood Avenue, Louisville, KY 40211, from 3pm-5pm with a celebration of Billy's life beginning at 5pm.
