Frank Clements, Sr., age 88, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016. In his younger years, he loved and played in many sports. He was a fan of the Yankees and a big UofK fan. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, and a member of American Legion Zachary Taylor Post 180. Frank retired from General Electric after 38 years of service, and continued as a general contractor for several more years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul M and Christina Oberst Clements; his daughter, Suzanna Marie Clements; his siblings, Jean, Johnny, Ray, Alec, Betsy, Carl and Sonny.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Barbara; his children, Deborah Bolen (Jimmy), Sandra Lyda (Jack), James Clements and Frank Clements, Jr.(Dana); grandchildren, Chrissie (John), Gina (Micah), Kyle, Carmen (Ryan), Sean, Stephanie, Josh and Amy Jo; great-grandchildren, Megan, Kara, Ashley, Cody, Julia, Kaya and Saphira; and great-great-grandchild, Laila; brother, Chris Clements (Mary); and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday, March 4, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. A celebration of Frank's life will be 11am Saturday, March 5th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Health.
