Frank Elston Been

Frank E. Been, 87, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was a proud retired veteran of the United States National Guard. Frank also retired from General Electric after working there for over 34 years. He was a long time member of Clan MacBean of North America and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Navilleton.

He was born in Jeffersonville, IN on October 11, 1929, to the late John Been Jr. and May (Dooley) Been. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Been.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Evelyn (Schmidt) Been; children, Bruce Been and Kathy Byrn (Michael); sister, Norma Jean Willis; brothers, William & Roy Been; grandson, Brett Byrn (Angela); great grandchildren, Hudson & Holton Byrn.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, July 31, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 1 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary's-Navilleton Catholic Cemetery.
