Franck Hamilton "Honest Franck" Slack, age 79 of Taylorsville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born July 3, 1945 to the late Blanton and Ruth Lukemeier Slack. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from General Electric after 33 years of service and was a custom car builder. Franck was an avid fisherman and was famous for designing and producing the fishing lure called "the Kentuckian". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda West and Carolyn Jean McMenimon.
Franck is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy; sons, Daniel Slack and David Michael Slack (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Vivian and Frankie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Additional visitation will be on Tuesday, May 20th from 9am to time of service at 11am. Burial will follow in Brookland Cemetery.
