Francis Robert "Frank" Ulrich

Francis Robert "Frank" Ulrich, 95, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016. He retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of service and went on to also retire from Duval County Public Schools in Florida. In his younger years, Frank enjoyed fishing and grafting fruit trees.

A native of St. Joseph, Indiana, Frank was born on October 6, 1921 to the late Leo and Caroline (Kraemer) Ulrich. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances (Welch) Ulrich; and siblings, Clara Dold, Louise Schutte, Jim Ulrich, Thelma Hayden, and Antoinette Lukemeier. Frank is survived by numerous generations of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11:30 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12 PM at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Campus). Frank will be laid to rest beside his wife at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Florida.

The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
