It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Angeline Peabody Phelps, who departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on June 11, 1962, in Neubrucke, Germany, Frances illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Patricia M. Peabody and Robert E. Peabody Sr.; her cherished brother, Patrick "Mike" Peabody; her dear sisters, Victoria Taylor and Geraldine Abell; as well as her nephew, Daniel Stephens. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who loved them.
Frances leaves behind her devoted husband, John A. Phelps, whose companionship filled her life with unwavering love and support. She is also survived by her dogs, Chloe and Samson, who brought joy and comfort into her days. Her legacy continues through her brother, Robert (Jo Ann) Peabody; her sisters, Theresa Peabody and Barbara (Bob) Grubbs; along with an extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and spirit.
Frances was an active member of Cardinal Hill Baptist Church, situated on St. Anthony Church Rd in Louisville, KY, where she found fellowship and solace within her community. Her faith and spirituality were integral parts of her life, guiding her actions and relationships.
In celebration of Frances's life, visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on January 13th at the Newcomer Southwest Louisville Chapel. A service dedicated to honoring her remarkable journey will take place on Tuesday, January 14th, at the funeral home, beginning at 1pm bringing together those whose lives she enriched.
As we remember Frances, let us carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength, honoring her by cherishing the moments we shared and the lessons we learned from her beautiful spirit.
