Frances Louise McNair

Frances Louise McNair, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Louise was a devoted, loving mother to her children and you would never find a more loving grandmother anywhere. Louise was always about family first.

Louise worked hard throughout her career as a manager, helping and guiding others..People looked up to her as a natural leader, someone you could count on to help and find the answers. We often heard people refer to her as a true friend..The world has definitely lost some sunshine. It will be very hard for her family and friends to be without her. We will find comfort in our memories of her.

She was born on August 2, 1938 in Hodgensville, Kentucky to Gilbert and Lucille (Underwood) Thompson. She is preceded in death by her Father, Gilbert Thompson, Sr., Mother, Lucille Maddox, Brother, Ray Thompson, Sisters, Roberta Bowlin and Patricia Blevins.

Frances is survived by her loving family, Children, Donna Daley, Michael (Kristen) McNair, and Mark (Suzanne) McNair; Grandchildren, Jessica (Zack) Keller, Jake (Olivia) McNair, Cole McNair, and Joseph McNair; Sister, Helen (Bill) Roof, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Frances’s memory be made to the local humane society.
