Frances (Kiesler) Eveslage, 93, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Frances enjoyed sewing and gardening. She had a passion for cooking and will be remembered for her delicious Springerle cookies. Frances was a member at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church where she was active in many church activities, including Christian Mothers and being a Eucharistic minister.
She was born on July 24, 1926, on a farm near Palmyra, Indiana, to the late Charles and Pearl (Brockman) Kiesler. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eveslage; sister, Wilma Ott; brothers, Glen and Dale Kiesler; and great-grandchild, Malachi Lopez.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Jane (Randy) Byrd; son, James (Lynda) Eveslage; son, Donald (Pam) Eveslage; grandchildren, Shanda Ross, Aaron Kaiser, Janelle Lopez, Krista Coats, Alisha Kaiser, and Tyler, Andrew, Braxton, and Emma Eveslage; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Elizabeth) Kiesler and Marvin (Juanita) Kiesler; and sisters, Jean (Cletus) Dethy and Martha Cox.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
