Frances Carby, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 28, 2016. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church.
Frances was born on May 13, 1939 in Sonora, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Jessie (Salmon) Hornback. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Hornback, and sister, Ruth Carnes.
Frances is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glennie L. Carby; sons; Dale Carby (Mary Kay), Mark Carby, Kevin Carby, three granddaughters, Leslie Carby, Heather Carby Bryan (Kelby), Leah Carby and one great-granddaughter, Kayley Bryan. She is also survived by four sisters; Mary Walters (Wayne), Ernestine Hornback (Doug), Brenda Alvey, and Patty Ferris (Lee).
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, August 1, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243) and from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral ceremony at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Sonora Baptist Church (709 Main Street, Sonora, Kentucky 42776) with burial at Sonora Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southeast Christian Church.
