Frances "Sidney" Blanchard, age 97 of Louisville, passes away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Friendship Health and Rehab. Sidney attended Anchorage School and upon graduation attended the University of Louisville. After one year at the University of Louisville, she joined the Army and served during World War II as a Tech Sargent. Upon completion of Military Service she attended the Bryan Stratton Business School. She was employed at the Taylor Drug Company where she worked as a bookkeeper for 42 years until her retirement. Sidney is most noted for being a huge fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She was also an avid golfer, reader and world traveler. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillie Blanchard.
Sidney is survived by extended family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be private.
