Florence Cowling

Florence (Nena) Cowling, 92, was born June 1, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky and passed away October 5, 2020. Everyone knew her as Nena, a nickname given to her by her brother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Katherine McCawley and brothers Freddie, Phillip and Leonard. She is survived by her sister Lilly Miller, her nieces, Patricia Ashfaq, Gail Schepers, Sandy Bodner, Cindy Denny, Pam Peak, Rita Whitfill, Anita Wittig, Donna McCawley, Sharon McCawley and Janice McCawley and nephews Jimmy Miller, Mike Miller, David Miller and Gary McCawley. She leaves behind her stepdaughter Judy Cowling and many great nieces and nephews. Her furry companions, Smokey, Cici and Max.

Visitation will be from 11-2pm on Saturday, October 10th and her service will take start at 2pm at Newcomer Cremations, funerals & Receptions- Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Nena will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery.
