Finley C. Cornett, Jr.

Finley C. Cornett, Jr., 61, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his home. He graduated from Charlestown High School in 1978 and was a member of Local 795, retiring after a career in construction. Finley was a true blue fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and enjoyed playing the lottery.

He was born on October 28, 1960, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Finley Cornett, Sr., and the late Patricia (Ritchie) Cornett. In addition to his father, Finley is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dora (Riley) Cornett; daughter, Angela Cornett; brother, Chris Cornett; and many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
