Born on May 18, 1929, in Peewee Valley, Kentucky, Finis lived a life marked by hard work, quiet service, and a willingness to help others.
Finis spent his professional career at Indiana Bell/AT&T, where he worked his way to construction supervisor. His commitment to excellence, reliability, and integrity left a lasting impression on those around him and earned him the respect of colleagues throughout his career.
Earlier in life, Finis served in the United States Army as part of the intelligence corps.

(Timothy) Morris, son, Phillip Lee (Christia) Hewitt, grandchildren, Lauren Morris, step-grandchildren Christapher (Alyssa) Willett and Bradly (Jamie) Willett, step-great-grandchildren Jane, Austin, and Calvin Willett, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Outside of work and family, Finis found meaning in his spiritual life and his community. His quiet commitment to his beliefs and to helping others left a lasting impact.
He also enjoyed working with his hands and often volunteered his construction skills to help others. He was known for his generosity and gentle spirit-and for always having Kit-Kat close by.
