Fayetta Holt, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Fayetta was the third oldest of nine children. She attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School and Central High Class of 1957. She grew up in Smoketown later Beecher Terrace. She worked for Olin Mathieson chemical corporation during Vietnam War and then in later years Jefferson County Schools. For over 30 years she was a missionary and witnessed to the entire Louisville, KY area. She then traveled to Memphis Tenn. for 5 years as a missionary. She returned back to Louisville and continued to witness the Gospel until her health began to fail her.
She was born on December 30, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jeff Henry and Henrietta (Hayden) David. She is preceded in death by her father, Jeff Henry David, mother, Henrietta David; daughter, Lisa McClellon; siblings, Clifton David, Kathleen Williams, Benny David, and Bernard David.
Fayetta is survived by her loving Husband of 20+ years, Michael Angelo Holt; children, Pamela (Kevin) Jacobs, Darlene (The Late Jeffrey) Duke, Dwayne (Sharonda) Wilson, Michael Holt, Jr., and Chamell Holt; grandchildren, Erica (Andre) Woodson, Jeffrey Marlowe, Jr., K'lan Dunlap, Chandra Wilson, T'Keyah (Malcolm) Pickett, Danisha (David) Lopez, Cameron Wilson, and Micah Gazaway; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Vernon David, Charles David, Donnie White, Marcia Long, and Ruby Hyde; bonus sister, Anna Moorman; favorite cousin, Eleanor Sloan. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Home Going Service will be at 11:30 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery - Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
