At the age of 69, Faurest Leo Klinglesmith, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 19, 2016 following a year and a half long battle with lung cancer. He passed away with his wife by his side.
On March 10, 1947, Faurest was born to the union of Faurest Leo Klinglesmith, Sr. and Juanita Adams, both of whom preceded him in death. Faurest worked as a land surveyor for many years. He enjoyed fishing and sharing this enjoyment with his beloved children and grandchildren. He lived his life to the fullest not letting earthly things, like money, get in the way.
On June 3, 1972, Faurest married Marcella Mae Daniels in Berea, Kentucky at Danforth Chapel at Berea College. She truly took care of him in sickness and in health, until his last breath.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella and four children. Two sons, Matthew Hayward married to Amber (Thomas) Klinglesmith of St. Roberts, Missouri and David Wayne married to Rebekah (Newlin) Klinglesmith of Louisville, Kentucky and two daughters, Michelle Mim Klinglesmith of Nashville, Tennessee and Jennifer Jay Klinglesmith of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also survived by three grandchildren, of whom he adored, Samuel, Carolyn and Jonah. Faurest was looking forward to the arrival of a second granddaughter, Lydia, due at the end of July. Faurest is also survived by a brother, Gary Klinglesmith, half-sister Ronda (Klinglesmith) married to Doug White both of Louisville, Kentucky. Also one niece Casey (Klinglesmith) married to Richard Leanhart of Louisville, Kentucky and many cousins.
Visitation for Faurest will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday. His funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel with the associate pastor Brad Weldy officiating. His burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville, Kentucky. Donations may be made to the family to cover burial costs.
