Fannie Mae (Barnes) Messmer

Fannie Mae (Barnes) Messmer, 72, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on April 8, 2017, at her home. She was born on January 6, 1945, in Harrison County, Indiana. Fannie retired from Robinson-Nugent Electronics after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved her pets, JoJo and Sugar.

Along with her parents, Fannie was preceded in death by her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 plus years, Roger Messmer; her children, Audrey Day (Dennis), Keith Hockman, Cynthia Ball, and Chris Messmer (Lisa); along with 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial visitation held on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
