E.W. (Emmitt) True, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 21, 2018, at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center. He retired from US Marine Corp.
E. W. was born on July 17, 1937, in Georgetown, Kentucky to the late Otis and Rosa True. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Everett Lee True.
E. W. is survived by his wife, Patricia True. His children, Kathleen Akil, Eric True, Kevin True, Patrick True, Rosa Weiss, Sisters; Helen Caswell and Delois Goosey. Brother, David True. Grandchildren; Hannah Akil, Matthew Curtin, Thomas W. Weiss, Annaliese E. Weiss, Sophia R. True, Abigail Willow True, Oliver True, Great-Granddaughter, Ava Curtin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, from 4 to 8 pm, and Wednesday March 28, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A celebration of E.W.'s life will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 12:30 pm with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff.
