Everett Morgan, Jr.

Everett Morgan, Jr., 88, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. Everett was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed playing basketball and camping with his family in his younger years and enjoyed playing games of all sorts, including Euchre, Dominos, and lawn jarts. Everett could be found outside, most often, hunting mushrooms, fishing, and attending sporting events for his grandchildren.

He was born on November 5, 1932, in Eckerty, Indiana, to the late Everett W. and Viola (Stricker) Morgan. Along with his parents, Everett is preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Morgan.

Everett is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Morgan; daughter, Pamela (Darrell) Williams; son, Timothy (Denise) Morgan; brothers, Hubert (Necie) Morgan and Donald (Gail) Morgan; grandchildren, Justin (Traci) Williams, Derrick (Tracy) Williams, Brittney (Kevin) Shafer, Morgan (Garrett) Strange, and Bree (Derric) Gowan; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Hornung, Nickolas Hornung, Harper Williams, Logan Williams, Caleb Shafer, Daniel Shafer, and Maverick Williams.

Cremation was chosen in regards to Everett's wishes. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, his Memorial Service will be held privately.
