Evelyn Marie (Mathews) Thompson Osborn, 82, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in New Albany and worked as manager at Sofro Fabrics for many years.

She was born on May 25, 1933 in Salem, IN to the late Val S. & Myrtle M. (Zink) Mathews. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Leroy Thompson; 2nd husband, Earl Osborn; son in-law, Donald Libs; son in-law, Charles Burt; and sister, Mary Pennington.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Beverly Libs & Tammy Burt; grandchildren, Kimberly Allen (Chad), Tracy Jones (Eric), Jeremy Gentry, & Sheena Stoker (Charles); and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6 PM Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
