Evelyn Marie (Schmidt) Banet, 91, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
She was born on February 19, 1929, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Herman and Mary (Schmelz) Schmidt. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Banet; sons, Kevin and Richard Banet; grandson, Tyler Graham; siblings, Herbert, Bill, Carl, and Richard Schmidt, Nettie Jones, and Monica Haskell.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Linda Schmidt (Jim); grandchildren, Ashley Banet (Cherie), Jessica Javed (Asad), Alyssa Banet, and Kristen Seacat; great-grandchildren, Lilea, Alice, and Ryan; sisters-in-law, Anna and Susie Schmidt; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
