Eugenia Kathleen (Richardson) Mock, 99, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Eugenia received her Master's Degree from Indiana University in Education. She went on to teach English and Special Education for many years until her retirement from Mt. Tabor Elementary School. After retirement, Eugenia was a tutor in English as a Second Language for adults. She is a past president of Altrusa International and a long-time member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church. Eugenia enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.
She was born on December 23, 1919, in Belleville, Illinois, to the late Eugene and Esther (Smith) Richardson. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband of over 67 years, Lawrence Earl "Larry" Mock; and Brother, Donald Richardson.
Eugenia is survived by her Children, Rebecca O'Neal, Lori (Brian) Getty, David Mock, and Richard (Carol) Mock; 11 Grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her lifetime best friend, Dorothy Hoehn.
A reception of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church (925 Vincennes Street, New Albany, Indiana). Her Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
