Eugene Ernest Guerin

September 14, 1941 — April 15, 2018

Eugene Ernest Guerin, 76, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was a United States Marines veteran and a member of Covenant Life Church. He enjoyed woodworking, as well as working out in the yard and spending time on his front porch.

He was born on September 14, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio. Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Doris "Jeanie" (Hawthorne) Guerin.

Gene is survived by his children, Keith Bolen, David Guerin, Mindi Oteman (Vern), and Scott Guerin; sisters, Patty Tabbert and Sandy Elkins; grandchildren, Lilly, Brandy, Kyle, and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Austin, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Bradley, and Leland; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Gene's wishes, and he will be laid to rest along with his wife at Walnut Ridge in Jeffersonville.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Legion Post 335 (1199 Basham Drive, Charlestown, Indiana 47111).
