Euel Alvey, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020. Euel was a gifted gardener, who loved his banana trees and Canna Lillies, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Euel was a devoted family man, and a hard worker. Euel served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was revered by many, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on August 22, 1931 in Hart County, Kentucky to Bernard and Etta (Taylor) Alvey. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Two Sisters, and Four Brothers.
Euel is survived by his, Daughters, Marcia Alvey, Melody (Alberto) Iglesias, and Michele (Dean) Broell, Son, Micah Brent (Tiffany) Alvey, Sister, Charlene Wooden, Grandchildren, Morgan Howard, Mason Scherzer, Mitchel Scherzer, Geovanni Iglesias, Sable Iglesias, Micah Alvey, Savannah Alvey, Alissa Broell, and Aaron Broell. Euel also leaves behind to cherish his memory 7 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 9 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Newcomer Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
