Esther Lynn (Enlow) Yarbrough, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, departed this world on December 27, 2025, at the age of 69, in her hometown of New Albany, Indiana. Her steadfast spirit and unwavering love for her family will be cherished forever.

Born on September 30, 1956, Esther was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She exemplified compassion, hard work, and honesty throughout her life, traits that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. After spending some years at New Albany High School, she pursued her education by earning her GED, laying a foundation for a life dedicated to caring for others.

Her professional journey as a nurse's aide spanned numerous nursing facilities in Southern Indiana, where she spent much of her career especially at Green Valley Care Center and Lincoln Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation. Esther poured her heart into her work, always going above and beyond to ensure that those in her care felt valued and loved.

Esther's dedication extended beyond her career to the cherished time spent with her family. She delighted in Sunday drives with her husband, David Yarbrough, who stood faithfully by her side for 40 years. Together, they cultivated a rich family life, where she took immense pride in watching her son, Aaron, and the blossoming lives of her granddaughters, Ariana and Amelia Enlow. She enjoyed every moment shared with her family, including her sister Susan Williams, with whom she shared many adventures. The warmth of her home was a reflection of her caring nature, as she tirelessly ensured that her family had everything they needed.

In addition to her immediate family, Esther leaves behind a network of relatives who admired and loved her deeply, including her sister Susan Williams, nieces Brittany Lamoureux and Andrea Harp, great-nephew Sullivan Harp, and great-niece Hannah Harp, along with great-nephew Winston Blair, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and her friends in Switzerland.

Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and she treasured each moment spent with them.

Esther is preceded in death by her mother Jessie Enlow and father Estel Enlow. While their absence leaves an undeniable void, Esther's legacy as a loving matriarch will continue to resonate in the stories shared and memories cherished among those she touched.

As we remember Esther Lynn Enlow Yarbrough, we find solace in celebrating her life through our cherished memories. In accordance with her final wishes, no memorial service will be held, but her spirit will live on in the hearts and actions of those she leaves behind.
