Esther (Vigil) Boice

Esther (Vigil) Boice, 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She had a decades-long career in nursing and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.

She was born on August 10, 1935, in San Juan, Colorado, to Cirrillio and Aurora (Aragon) Vigil. Esther is survived by her children, Cheryl Sauffer (Jeff) and Carl "Jeff" Boice; and grandsons, Matthew "Dane" and Michael Sauffer.

Esther's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions was entrusted with her care. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Augustine Catholic Church (315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130) with her funeral mass taking place at 11:00 a.m.
