Estella C. (Ward) Ashabranner

Estella C. "Stella" (Ward) Ashabranner, 72, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. Stella loved playing Bingo and listening to music, especially Michael Bolton and Alabama.

She was born on December 9, 1946, in Corydon, Indiana, to the late John and Nina (Rainbolt) Ward. Along with her parents, Stella is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Ashabranner, Sr.; and siblings, John Wesley Ward, William Ward, Michael Ward, George Ward, and Della Ballou.

Stella is survived by her loving children, Sandra (Larry) Brown, Richard L. (Amy) Ashabranner, Jr., Brian K. (Missy) Ashabranner, Sr., and Robert W. Ashabranner; grandchildren, Marsha (Don) Worrall, Matthew Ashabranner, Richard L. (Sarah) Ashabranner III, Bret Ashabranner, Brian K. Ashabranner, Jr., Lucas W. (Tyra) Ashabranner, J. Riley Billings, Alex Billings, and Tiffany Ashabranner; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Ashabranner, Brooke Worrall, Madison Ashabranner, Matthew Ashabranner, Jr., and Kenley Ashabranner; siblings, Lillie Clark, Juanita Davis, Charles (Gretchen) Ward, Elizabeth (Charley) Swarens, James Ward, Glenn (Mary) Ward, Paul (Kathy) Ward, and Rose Spencer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Stella's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Stella's memory be made to the American Diabetes Association.
