Essie Everts, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
He was born on May 1, 1935 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to the late Ralph and Hazel (Mercer) Everts . He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Everts, and siblings, Paul and Pauline Everts. Essie retired from Ford Motor Company after 29 years. He enjoyed fishing, going to the Smokey Mountains and sitting outside under the shade trees.
Essie is survived by his children, Rebecca (Stephen) Bankert, Tina (George) Kirby, Charles Everts and Diana (Edsel) Hornback, along with 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and his siblings, Marvin Everts and Stephanie Everts- Meier.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
