Ernest Lee Wooldridge, Jr.

Ernest Lee Wooldridge, Jr., age 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on October 28, 2026. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Ernest enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Kitchen Kompact in Jeffersonville. He was a longtime and dedicated member of Graceland Baptist Church.

Born on September 22, 1936, in Louisville to Ernest, Sr. and Violet (Wallace) Wooldridge, Ernest was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Agnes (Miller) Wooldridge, his son Timothy, son-in-law Donald Harris, and sister Joann Roberson.

His legacy continues through his children, Pamela Harris, Anthony Wooldridge (Marina Hagan), and Angela Tinius (David); grandchildren, Anthony Wooldridge, Tara Wooldridge, Heather Conway, Candace Elder (William), Lisa Tinius, Brittany Harris Hall (Brandon), Megan Tinius; as well as 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in New Albany, and will continue on Friday from 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
