Ernest Lee Wittenburg, Jr., 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Ernie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing. Above all things, Ernie loved spending time with his family.
He was born on November 22, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Ernest, Sr., and Thelma (Bunt) Wittenburg. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Jean Wittenburg.
Ernie is survived by his children, Kelly (Lee) Benjamin, Chip (Toni) Wittenburg, and Jennifer (Cliff) Naylor; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Ernie's wishes, and he will be laid to rest with his wife at Charlestown Cemetery.
