Ernest Mack Lee (E.J.) Jones, Jr. 61, passed away on July 25, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1956, in Blanch, NC to Iola (Garland) Woolridge and Ernest Mack Jones, Sr.
Ernest attended the Pittsylvania Public Schools. He worked for the city of Danville for many years until he moved his residence to Louisville, KY, where he worked at Stoker's Tenderex Farms, Inc. as a maintenance man. He was a man of many talents.
He touched the hearts of so many people. Ernest never met a stranger and he had a love for children that was unexplainable; he will truly be missed.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Tina (Victor Hines) Adams, of Greenville, NC and Shanice Wimbush of Greensboro, NC; sons, Ernest Jones, III of Danville, VA, Jermaine (Andrea) Stone of Lewiston, Maine and Damitri Wimbush of Greensboro, NC; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; parents, Ernest Mack Jones, Sr. of Mt. Vernon, NY and Iola Woolridge, of Louisville, KY; siblings, Linda Jones Thompson, of Louisville, KY, Gerry N. Fowler, of Louisville, KY, William R. Fowler, III of New Albany, IN, Renee Jones, Kim Jones and Keith Jones, all of Mt. Vernon, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be July 31, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY, from 9am-12pm, with a celebration of E.J.'s life beginning at 12pm.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY.
