Ernest Quinton Gober III "Tyrone" , 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
He was born on November 5, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ernest and Leola (Robinson) Gober. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Layfierre Mitchell, brothers, Eric Gober, Robert Gober, Rayborne Gober, and Clayborne Gober, his niece, Leola Renae Gober and his grandson, Alec Pettiway.
Tyrone will always be remembered as a hardworking provider, who loved his family above all else. He was a established business man; owning and operating Beds Galore for over 40 years. He never met a stranger; not only did he provide for his family, he was always willing to help his friends as well. Tyrone was a country man at heart; he enjoyed planting flowers at home and fishing. You could always find him remolding and working on different things around the house; he would finish them sometimes!
Back in the day, music was his passion. Tyrone played the guitar with a lot of the greats; Al Green, Rufus Thomas, Gladys Knight and the Pips and the Temptations. He had a great sense of humor and made people laugh, but he also let you know how he felt about you.
Tyrone was a very accomplished and successful man in his life time and was many things to many people. He will be truly missed.
Tyrone is survived by his loving wife Linda Gober, they met is 1986 and have been married since 2001. Tyrone also leaves behind to continue his legacy, son, laypierre Mitchell, daughter, Raven Gober, step children, Craig (Machelle) Owens, Yvette Owens, Derron (Monique) Owens, Brandon (Kelly) Owens, Robin (Demond) Owens. Tyrone is also survived by 35 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
