Erma Parrish

Erma "Marie" Parrish, 77, passed away on July 15, 2015. She was a cook at Check's Café for 20 years. She was an avid UK basketball fan and she enjoyed working in her flower garden. Marie was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church and AMVETS Aux. Post 2 before she became ill. Marie had a sweet spirit that loved everyone, especially children. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her son, Fred Bolin; grandson, Chris Brown; sisters, Mae and Lee and several brothers.

Marie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bob Parrish; children, Melissa Brown, Bill Bolin and Janette McConnell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Marie's life will be Monday, July 20, 2015, beginning at 12pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.

Interment will be Monday, July 20, 2015, at 2pm (CST) at Cloverport Cemetery (on Calvary Hill) in Clover Port, KY.
